VISAS

Heading to Egypt?
A Simple 4-Step Guide
We recommend that all visitors and participants secure their visa well in advance to ensure a smooth journey. Please note that Visa validity can vary based on your nationality. Please consult your embassy for specific details and requirements.
Step 1: Determine Your Visa Type

Before applying, check the type of visa you need, and check whether you're eligible for an e-Visa, Visa on Arrival, or need to apply at an Egyptian Embassy/Consulate.

Step 2: Prepare Your Documents

Gather the required documents, which typically include:

  • A valid passport (must be valid for at least 6 months).
  • A completed visa application form.
  • A recent passport-sized photo.
  • Proof of travel itinerary (e.g., flight tickets, hotel booking).
  • Proof of financial means (for some visa types).
Step 3: Submit Your Application

Online (e-Visa): Apply via Egypt’s official e-Visa portal, submit documents, and pay online.

Embassy/Consulate: Apply at your nearest Egyptian mission and pay the fee.

Visa on Arrival: If eligible, get your visa at the airport by paying the fee.

Step 4: Receive Your Visa

If approved, your e-Visa will be sent via email.

If applying through an embassy, processing times vary (usually 5–10 business days).

If using Visa on Arrival, you will receive it immediately upon entry.
